On 21 September 2023, a seminar «Intelligent GIS for Marine Situation Monitoring. Marine Situation Analysis (IGIS’23-2)» was held at the Central Naval Library.
The seminar was organized by Limited Liability Company «Innovative Scientific and Technical Bureau», Joint Stock Company «SPIIRAN – High Technology Scientific and Technical Bureau», and the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture and Arts «Central Naval Library» of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
More than 100 people took part in the seminar, including researchers, lecturers and specialists from the Saint Petersburg Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Oceanpribor Concern, JSC K-Technologies, Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University, State Research Navigation and Hydrographic Institute, A.F. Mozhaisky Military Space Academy, Admiral S.O. Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, N.G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy, Navy Construction Operational and Strategic Research Institute, Navy Scientific Company No. 1, and many other institutions and organizations.
The seminar became an effective platform for exchanging opinions on the application of intelligent GIS for marine situation analysis. A wide range of issues was considered: from theory development to practical implementation of solutions.
In addition to interesting presentations and discussions, participants were shown developments by LLC «INTB» and JSC «SPIIRAN-NTBVT»:
- a prototype software package for information support of combat information post personnel «ONTOMAP» in a mobile version;
- a section of a vertical hydroacoustic antenna;
- a working ADS-B receiver sample;
- as well as a sample of a hardware-software complex for situation monitoring for a wide range of users.
Following the seminar, a proceedings volume will be published with its electronic version posted on the official website of LLC «INTB».
